Tension tour

[edit]

@PHShanghai: keeps adding this statement about the Tension tour – "marking her first tour in North America since 2011's Aphrodite Live tour", which in my opinion is unnecessary to be highlighted and its not even factual. Minogue recently had a concert residency in Las Vegas (20 dates from 2023 to 2024). For Kylie Presents Golden, Minogue also did a show in New York (June 25, 2018). Compare this to her touring in Asia - which she only had 1 tour date in Abu Dhabi back in 2019 and 1 tour UAE date in 2015. Yet touring for the first time since 2011 in Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan are left out. PHShanghai have also removed the start date (without an explanation) for the tour which is more important, than the incorrect information they keep adding. Hotwiki (talk) 12:15, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@PHShanghai:, also mentioned this in their edit summary "Marks a return to the territory, it is also her first all-arenas tour in NA which is a huge milestone for her". I checked the Billboard reference next to that, and its not even mentioned. Hotwiki (talk) 12:40, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2022

[edit]

@PHShanghai: please stop edit warring. Infinite Disco live album is not notable and not every live album is mentioned in the article to begin with. There's no need to mention 2022 in two different section titles, to simplify things. Hotwiki (talk) 05:32, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As for the lead section, you are once again pushing for unnecessary changes. Grammatical errors that only you recognize. You already proposed these changes in RFC twice and nobody agreed. Hotwiki (talk) 05:34, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Style icon

[edit]

@PHShanghai:, here's Elle (magazine), labeling Kylie Minogue as a "style icon".[1] There's nothing wrong with the term "style icon" so you don't need to remove it. Hotwiki (talk) 06:02, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infinite Disco live album

[edit]

@PHShanghai:, this statement "Additionally, the Infinite Disco live album was eventually surprise-released by Minogue shortly after Disco: Guest List Edition." - is actually incorrect. On 12 November 2021, the "Guest List Edition" of Minogue's fifteenth studio album Disco was released. Included in the deluxe five-disc package was a recording of the Infinite Disco concert on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray.[1] The April 2022 release for the live album, was actually just a standalone release and the live album, was already included as the third disc of the 2021 re-release of Disco. Hotwiki (talk) 12:53, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you've added that live album without a reference as well, which is another issue. Hotwiki (talk) 12:55, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then remove the "surprise released" and change it to "released alongside [Disco Guest List], with an April 2022 release on streaming services" Anyway, that wasn't even the main point of what I was doing.
You're pivoting from the point, which is that the Tension era objectively started in 2023 and not 2022, which is confusing then why you're reverting it back to 2022. Artists work on albums of all the time, that doesn't mean the era started from the moment the album was being produced in the studio. PHShanghai | they/them (talk) 13:09, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A stand alone release for Infinite Disco live album is not notable enough for a life and career section, especially it was already included in the re-release. Not every live album is mentioned in this article to begin with. Hotwiki (talk) 13:12, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As for the Tension era, worked began for the album in 2022. There's no need to include the other happenings of Minogue's life in 2022 - in the Golden/Step Back in Time/Disco section which already covers 5 years of her life. Hotwiki (talk) 13:14, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is one sentence covering the entire year of 2022 in the Tension section, whereas there are multiple paragraphs covering 2023. Why do you insist on keeping 2022? Some of the songs on Body Language were being worked on as demos in 2002, does that mean we should consider 2002 the start of the Body Language era?
I am making a simple copyedit to make her sections more cohesive and, just like all my other edits, you revert them with no policy-based reason and only "no need" as a reason. You consistently prevent almost every edit of mine on this article multiple times over multiple months. PHShanghai | they/them (talk) 15:29, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The year 2022 has been covered in the Tension section, since last year. No one has an issue about it, except you. The Golden/Step Back in Time/Disco already covers 5 five years (2017–2021) of Minogue's life and career. Her sixteenth album being worked in year 2022, is a valid reason for the Tension/Tension II section to include Minogue's 2022 activities. As for me, reverting your edits, I have pointed out, several times in the talkpage why they were reverted. In fact just this week, I corrected you about the live album which was originally released in 2021, and not 2022. I have also posted a third-party reference about Minogue being a style icon which you removed several times. I have corrected you, about your false claim about Tension tour being the first tour of Minogue in North America, since 2011. You have introduced plenty of wrong information in the article and they needed to be removed. Its all written in the talk page. Hotwiki (talk) 16:10, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PHShanghai

[edit]

@PHShanghai:, if you are gonna make dozens of drastic changes, please discuss them here first. Mind you, this is a featured article and went through several article reviews for you to make edits like this.[2] Hotwiki (talk) 17:48, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:OWNBEHAVIOUR and WP:BOLD. Furthermore, a FAR from 2009 is irrelevant because her article is different today. PHShanghai | they/them. 17:54, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you going to keep throwing the "Wp:own" card everytime we interact with each other. Or do I need to report you for personal attacks, which was the reason you were blocked, last November? Hotwiki (talk) 18:05, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, why did you revert this[3]. You can see how the Wikilinks are written across the article, for you to do the opposite. Hotwiki (talk) 18:10, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1. An editor disputes minor edits [...] frequently. The editor might claim the right to review any changes before they can be added to the article. [4]
3 & 4. An editor reverts a change simply because the editor finds it "unnecessary" without claiming that the change is detrimental and reverts a good-faith change without providing an edit summary that refers to relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]
5. An editor comments on other editors' talk pages with the purpose of discouraging them from making additional contributions. [10] [11] PHShanghai | they/them (talk) 18:12, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
